Nottingham, England is one of the favorite places for the well-to-do to shop. It is the forth ranked favorite shopping areas in all of England. Many high- end shopping boutiques are available in the Exchange Arcade. Other larger shopping districts include Westfield Broadmarsh and the Victoria Center. The Exchange Arcade is located in the Nottingham Council House. The Council House is so large, you can see it from anywhere in the city. The Council House faces and overlooks the Old Market Square. This beautiful, historical part of town is home to a large water display and is tiled with granite. It is the largest of its kind in England.
To the west of the Old Market Square you will find Nottingham Palace. Famous for its use in The Tales of Robin Hood, the palace is a great way to spend an afternoon.
Many festivals and music revues, as well film and stage, are available in Nottingham. The largest festival in the country is the Goose Fair, which is held in October.
A little know fact about Nottingham is the underground maze of man-made caves. Most tourists, and many citizens, are unaware that beneath the shopping centers and restaurants are hundreds of caves. In 1941, over eighty-five caves were dug as air raid shelters. Many of the poor still live within the caves that have not been sealed.
About two hours southwest of Nottingham lays the city of Bath. This beautiful city was built in River Avon valley. Many hot springs are inside the city, once home to Roman temples and bathhouses. The City of Bath is dedicated to culture and the arts, namely music and theater. Many art museums and theaters are available for the art connoisseur. Take your time exploring this wonderful, artistic city. The history here is almost palpable.
On the return trip to Nottingham, be sure to stop in Glochester and Birmingham. The Glochester Cathedral was used in two popular Harry Potter movies and is also the burial site King Edward II. Birmingham is known for its shopping, taking second place only to London. Spend an evening enjoying the night life before returning to Nottingham.

which is better sealing Avon or Mary Kay?
i sale Avon but my father in laws girlfriend sales Mary Kay an shes been trying to get me to start sealing Mary Kay. iv never sold Mary Kay but have sold Avon before i enjoy it but am not doing to well now but have just started back an she says she makes more money sealing MK do u think i should stick with Avon ?
Hi there--I've sold both & am a Mary Kay Consultant now.
I can tell you this--Mary Kay does have a higher franchise fee than Avon--the initial fee that you pay to get in.
Mary Kay also has inventory options for new consultants that you don't need to purchase for Avon ever.
Chances are overall when you first start out--you'll get more customers with Avon than with mary kay.
However--where they differ is that Mary Kay offers 50% commission for EVERY single level of their sales force from day 1.
Avon does not, I believe at least in Canada--that you get 10% for the start & each customer has to wait 3-4 wks for their order to come in.
Mary Kay because they have inventory you can reorder & then sell--you have more risk but at the same time-your customer can treat you "just like a store".
Avon may have changed since I've been with them but in the mid-90's they just send you the info & you're expected to do it on your own.
Mary Kay always gives you a support system & someone comes with you to open up your franchise kit which comes with about $350 Cdn products for 1/3 of this cost.
Avon gives 30% commission once you have sold closer to $30K! They also have the cars, jewelery like Mary kay but you have to sell a LOT more than you need to to win similar prizes with Mary Kay.
Overall you make more money with mary kay a year--a first year consultant with proper training can expect to make $30,000/year plus if they WANT too.
Avon--I'm not sure what theirs is but you'd need more than 35 customers a month--which is how many you need per month in Mary Kay.
Mary Kay like Avon has a lot of "personal use" consultants--people who want to get the discount for the product but not actually sell the product.
Mary Kay also has a lot of people who do this very hobby-like and part time--as does Avon. Only a small percentage are successful because the minority is working only as a hobby or for the tax advantages.
It really depends on which product you connect with more to decide which one you should sell. Do you LIKE mary kay products? If so, trust me it's MUCH easier to sell them!
If you like Avon more--than it will be easier for you to sell that brand.
Mary Kay has a "try before you buy" policy where as that isn't the case with Avon & it has a 100$ money back policy (& you the consultant also get the money back from the company)!.
What else? The biggest thing to remember is that they aren't comparable--it's not equal products. Not like brand name & not brand name tissues for instance.
Mary Kay has entirely different recipes than Avon does--and it's hard to find comparable products even within the 2 lines.
Plus another thing that has to be remembered--is that you' customers aren't going to be the same--Avon people don't buy Mary Kay usually. Nor the other way around.
Chances are you're going to have to go way outside of your comfort level if everyone you know & hang out with shop with Avon or similar price points.
With Mary Kay you get tons of free training (I don't know about Avon to be fair)--and you'll be taught HOW to get out of your comfort zone.
However--that is something you'll have to understand.

You do NOT need inventory at all--I've been with it for 4 yrs and many times I never have inventory. It only takes 3 days from the day you put your order in to when you receive it--as it's all done through 2-3 day courier service. In USA, they use UPS & in Canada they use xpress post.
If you DO order inventory--you'll notice that if you want to return it within the first year of joining--you'll receive 90% of your inventory back less the cost of shipping--but you can claim shipping as a business expense as it's still your business until they give you back your inventory 90% cheque.
